Presentation

The Italian Association of Physical Geography and Geomorphology (AIGeo) organizes every two years a National Conference.
In September 2009 the Third AIGeo National Conference will be held in Modena in honour of Prof. Mario Panizza.
The First National Conference was held in 2005 in Padova and it was in honour of Prof. Giovanni Battista Castiglioni while the second one was held two years later in Torino and was in memory of Prof. Augusto Biancotti.

AIGeo gives a large importance to the growth of young researchers and periodically organizes a Young Geomorphologist Day. The aim of this event is to support young researchers’ growth also through direct exchanges of scientific results and research methods in Geomorphology. During the III National Conference is scheduled a Young Geomorphologist Day.

During the National Conference it is always expected a field-trip in areas where a specific geomorphological theme is particularly representative.
During the Third National Conference the field trip will be in the Italian Dolomites known all over the world for their outstanding mountain landscape.

The official circulars of the Third National Conference may downloaded from the official site of the Conference.
